I didn't get stopped at either end - just waved through. That was a busy day in August.

Follow the locals & filter to the front - once they spot your British plates, they won't be interested in you - they're only interested in the locals taking tax free booze & fags through.

And the cheap Andorran petrol is a myth these days - it's only a few cents a litre cheaper than French supermarket stations, but I reckon the French stuff is cheaper because there's a lot of that 10% methanol/ethanol stuff around - which tends to drop your mpg - you need to keep your eyes on the pump grades.
Spanish petrol is the dearest these days I reckon

first nights accomodation now booked in riders rest, booking the tunnel this week

Incidentally trivia question WITHOUT RESORTING TO GOOGLE. ... who is the ruler of the Principality of Andorra?:augie

*Clears throat and looks smug because I remembered this from years and years ago and never thought I'd ever need it.

The Bishop of Urgell in Spain.

I thank you.

Robin.

(Or maybe he was joint ruler with some French chappie?)

That does not relieve you from your three weeks of detention for not knowing which Henry it was that won the battle of Agincourt :D

Correct, or nearly so as the "French chappie" is the President of France.

So I would say you have palimpsested yourself from any previous historical gaffe. (heard Will Self use it this morning and while he is normally a boring old chuffer, I've been dying for an occasion to use it).
