They are a one off purchase! Make it a good one!

Its easy to fill drawers but a pain in the arse if you have too much to go in them already!

I have 2 Taskmaster stacks, One from the workshop when I worked at Scania and BMW and I have one for the garage at the house

Facom Teng Sealey Draper are all decent enough Taskmaster may be defunct now but I still have a socket set that I have been using for 31 years in July 2020 and only ever needed one ratchet rebuild kit

I did buy a snap on extra long ratchet and only needed the mechanism replaced once in 15 years as well #MechanicalSympathy :thumb

See if you can get bearing type drawer runners (It pays off after 30 years trust me)

Buy the best you can afford It will stand you in good stead!

I think I have all my tools from over the years It would frighten you to count it up :eek

I just need to double check the measurements instore before buying it, as it’s gonna fit in an alcove and I recon there’s only 10mm clearance without the handles. The dimensions stated online do include the handles
 
I've got both a US Pro and Teng Tools tool cabinets and in comparison to the Teng, the US Pro is not great. It's quite flimsy and the drawers are no where near as smooth running.
You get what you pay for and as DrFarkoff says above, they are a one off purchase so go for the best you can afford.
 
As a retired BMW car technician , my one & only observation would be, that in both cases the lower roll cab will be of little use as it has no drawers.

Ask yourself what you intend to put in the large cavernous space at the bottom. My advice would be to go for something with draws all the way down, that way you can organise your tools into sections.

As people have said, this is a one off purchase & you do not want to make a mistake - although looking at the prices, don't set your hopes too high!

I have it now, I researched it, measured it, read reviews, brought it assembled it, and now filling it, it is just as expected and suits me and my circumstances perfectly. Total bargain at £80 :thumb2

Totally has 2 L's by the way :rolleyes:
 
Whilst those smaller ones may suit others I have found them unstable when working at other folks house give them a hand and for that reason alone I would not have one

Its always easy to fill up a small box and then all of a sudden you need more space

I've got the earlier version of this-- the same layout apart from having no doors on the bottom section. I've had it about 15 years and paid a 'discount' price of £130, so £80 is a cracking price.

Decent enough bit of kit for the home mechanic-- mine gets used every day and the drawers all work properly although the two drawers that get the most use are just starting to stick/ jam slightly if not pulled out centrally. Easy enough to remedy..... I ought to swap stuff around to use the other drawers more.
Good point point made about the lower section-- what are you going to fill the cavernous space with? I made a shelf for mine to divide it into two sections.
My only reservation would be that it feels a bit flimsy if I try and move it outside for working on the cars-- I tend to leave it in the garage. Perhaps if you need one that can be wheeled around it would be wise to get a commercial/ professional grade one.
 
This one is going to be static in the workshop, I use a cantilever type tool caddy for portable work outside the workshop.

Aware of stability issues if you have several drawers open with heavy tools in them, knew this before I brought it and if it's a problem in use I have an easy solution in hand.

Now filled it with all my tools and it's just perfect at £ 80 you could buy two for the price of others
