wanted to put a Ulock under the seat and tried to get the locking plate alongside the toolkit - very poor fit (I have the low seat fitted). So I thought that I might be able to chop down the toolkit a bit. Must admit it's the first time I've looked at it:augie

Anyway - what are these tools for? My bike seems to have Torx fasteners everywhere, no slotted or cross head screws to fit the screwdriver, and I can't find any nuts that fit the spanner. Is the C spanner for the shock? I did find one useful bit though - the stange plastic key that fits the oil filler.

Am I missing something?:nenau

Junk...

Like you I was gobsmacked at the p!55 poor kit compared to what I've had with BMs in the past......

I've pared mine down to the C spanner plasict plug puller and Torx bit for alloy oil filler cap (replacement for shonky plastic thing) and a 10mm comb spanner.
Fold up teh bag neatly and you can get the lock base behind it and use the strap to clamp it in place. You can still carry three CO2 bulbs underneath it in the tray then.

I also rubber band the U part of the lock (using the littl band clips at the front) to stop it rattling.....

I'll take a pic if you need it.....

Spanner fits shock. As for the rest of it! The word JUNK comes to mind. I did talk to BMW Motorrad last week and told them what I thought of my $22k BMW's tool kit. There response was predictable. "Due to the hard economic times cuts had to be made some where". Of coarse the fact that the kids $150 pocket bike came with a full tool kit is beside the point. I have been putting together a tool kit.I am going to use spline drive wrenches as they will fit both metric and ETORX bolts.I also found that Star Pro makes Torx allen wrenches that straiten out flat for more room and go from T25 to T50. I think I will buy the BMW spark plug wrench as it also removes the 22mm front axle. Any who good luck
