Hi guys,

I'm looking for this tool, to fit the main crankshaft seal (the one just in front of the flywheel) on a R1200GS:
83300401585 Drift set, or
11 5 700 (as in the reprom / rds)
to see a pic, it's the same as in http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261571388441

If anyone of us have it, and would like to lend it, it would be very much appreciated (I'll pay you for your trouble, of course)

Since this seems to be a expensive one, if I cant find it I would also buy one, even if it it's a one-off job. The problem is that I don't know where.

Cheers to anyone willing to help.

Giovanni.

I don't have time to check the techie stuff but can't the old seal not be used to press in the new one.

Use a socket of the correct diameter? Failing that (or the suggestion above), BMW club have a good tool hire scheme.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Thing is, the seal needs to be preshaped on the inner side, that's why the BMW is very handy (it matches the inner ring where the seal fits). Preshaping helps the seal go far in, there's no way to push it from outside the same way.

Good call on the tool hire, i'll check this out
G
