OK, by my count that makes it 52 , so I think I`ll bring the sign up to an end at this point and get a price for supplying and shipping 60 of the buggers. At least that way I`ll have a few left over if others want them later.

I`m still waiting on a price from the supplier and I`ll post it up here as soon as I have it. Do you think this`ll squeeze past customs without them charging some stupid tax ?

Besides I thought the only folk who imported "tractor parts" were arms dealers :augie

Please don`t anybody else sign up, if we get them and I have spares I`ll throw up another message for folk to show an interest in the spares.

Cheers

Probably not...........:(

They are also going to be quite expensive ( but not prohibitively so ) to ship by air because although they are light they will be charged by their volume and because of their shape they wont pack too well. If you are going to buy that many it might make it worth while to get the supplier to ship them out of state direct to a freight forwarder rather than use a courier like UPS.

If the supplier ships out of state you might not have to pay local sales tax which may also save you a whopping 40cents per unit.;)

Carig, appreciate all you effort so far :clap

Just wanted to nudge you that I asked for 2 ...

Is this a pucker John Deere part, I only ask as since this is now nearly 60 or so it might be something that John Deere may supply in that quantity here and save the effort of privately shipping from the states

Already on it, I`ve e-mailed my local John Deere dealership, http://www.jd-dealer.co.uk/nairnbrown/index.php?p=home to ask them those very questions.

Although to me it doesn`t look like the same part as the one on the JDParts page

https://jdparts.deere.com/partsmkt/.../7009_fb_Operator'sManualStorageContainer.htm

And the reply was :

"Unfortunately we have no way of knowing if the products are the same without having both products and comparing them.

Price wise, we could offer you a discount ONLY on a stock order which would take 10 – 14 days. Your price then would be £10.50"

I`ll wait and see what Agrisupply in the USA come back with as an inclusive price.

It could be it`ll end up easier and cheaper if everyone orders from Agrisupply direct if they`ll accept that but we`ll wait and see.

Guys

Can anyone who`s not on the list in my message above hold off at the moment from signing up. Currently we`re at 54 on the list and I`m hoping to order 60, if we have any left over I`ll put up a new thread for folk to get any spares.

Sorry , just don`t want anyone disappointed and had to stop somewhere.
