Thanks Mozza mine & Gipsy's have just arrived - they're great.

Mine arrived too - nice one Mozza :thumb2

Pluck

Pos a bit late now but I think I may have located these at my local John Deer dealer (living out in the sticks has its advantages) hope to collect Friday so I will confirm its the same after I collect. If its any help and it is the same I don't mind helping out with supplies of these. Pic and cost to follow.

Best of luck but i suspect it`s not the same thing. I went down this road with my John Deere dealership early on and this was what they had to offer.

Just not as user freindly, and you have to either buy a mounting kit or make one. As opposed to the tubes we`ve been getting which have the mounting flanges and bolt holes moulded in.

From recollection it`s a bit more expensive than ours even although we had to pay import, courier and local Royal mail charges.

Thanks Craig, :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Tubes arrived today. Many thanks for your going to all the trouble of getting hold of these for us all.

Cheers Val.

My tube arrived today. Thank you Craig for all of your time and dedication to the cause.

Cheers Tom:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

...I also ordered a set of black nylon clamps from www.seascrew.com

online catalogue / Marine Hardware / Deck & Hull Fittings / Tube Fittings, Grab Handles & Handrails / Other Tube Fittings & Saddles

(incorporating some marine technology) They also supply a plate that fits the clamp. Fits perfectly on the frame and does not damage the frame (rust). After drilling two holes in the ToolTube flange for fitment it provides more stability than the single point mount.

The web site is showing these out of stock, so seeing as they are local to me I popped in to see them. They had been wondering why there had been a sudden burst in orders for this apparently inconsequential part. Anyway they are now upping their restocking order from 20 to 70 units.

Picked up tube from the post office today :thumb2 fantastic, many thanks, I'm sure the postman waits around the corner for me to go out!

Propose that you be knighted for services to fellow GSers

Arise Sir Mozza :bow

Anyone bolted one onto a 1150 yet? Possibilities seem limited... :nenau

Where to fit?

Anybody fitted one to an '07 1200GSA with full genuine aluminum luggage? :nenau

Really struggling to see a good place to fit that doesn't foul rear wheel / looks OK etc.

Looking for inspiration and maybe photos (as the great mozza has already requested)
:beerjug:

Thanks for sorting out the tubes mozza !

Got the first one fitted

Hi Craig, if you any left I'd like one please. Is payment still through PayPal or would you prefer some other method?

If there are any left count me in too :-) Just let me know how you want paying.

I`m still waiting for the dust to settle and I might have a few left over.

i`ll post a message here if I do, so it`ll be a 1st come 1st served type thing when I do.

I don`t really see me doing it again but never say never, (to quote James Bond)

Having real problems finding somewhere suitable on my 1150,space is tight everywhere, at the moment the favourite is looking like behind the left hand system case with a 'Bryn' stubby pipe, which I have had sitting for a while, replacing the silencer, it looks like it would take up the space nicely.

I found that the almost vertical mounting position on my Harley meant it was tricky getting the tools of the tube, but a plastic liner from a cheap toilet brush holder fitted the tube perfectly making it much easier to pack the tools in.

A 75cl bottle of malt fits perfectly too :thumb2
