Okay. So anyone managed to find somewhere to place one of these on a standard GS 1150?

I have had one of these for two years but still can't work out where to put it on the bike.

Tool tube

I put mine next to the No plate vertically mounted with a lock on the cap

I have seen the solutions for placing on the underside of the standard pannier frame but not yet seen on for the inside of the pannier frame as is commonly used on the 1200.

The gap between the frame is way too large for the tool tubes mounting ponts.

Looking for more ideas for mounting.

I remember having a bike with a built in tool tube, one day I returned to it, to find some bastard had found it so handy, he took all the tools with him! :rob

I bought one years ago (when everyone who was anyone just had to have one :) ), couldn't find anywhere decent to mount it on my 1100, sold it to a 650 Dakar rider who needed it more than me...

Been thinking of something like this on the front mudguard on my off road ktm
