OK Tossers, general update.

Tubes ordered at the begining of the month still not arrived (last years delivery time was between 8 days and 7 weeks!) - am chasing.
And for SwissRob, I resorted to hanging it on the bottom of the RH vario. Most other places seemed to be be just a little bit too tight.

:(
Latest news from supplier

Tool Tubes arrived UK on 17 March according to US Postal.
So where are they??
:nenau

Now lets think about this, if it takes 7 days to travel 3500 miles, why does it take more than 14 days to NOT travel 350 miles??

Any sensible answers on here please. :augie

Knackered Tool Tube PLEASE READ

Bought two Tool Tubes from Bem and they were excellent, however i need to warn others how not to fit them.
I fitted mine at the back basically across and underneath the top box by two small metal u-clips i had made. (Ive got an 09 GSA).

After packing them with the BMW tool set and other bits i travelled to Crete and found that the tyre had smashed the Tube off with all the tools when the suspension lifted the back wheel going over a bump.

My fault i thought so bought another one from Bem. The sodding thing happened again.

So be warned.

No criticism of Bem as the Tool Tubes were good quality, it was down to me not fitting them properly.

Good luck.

TFT.
The only place to fit on a GSA is inside the right pannier frame, as the rear wheel travel will eventually reach up to any "across the frame" position.

Just so you know... I'm a reseller of the same described tubes here in South Africa... and they have been nicknamed the "GooseToobs"! :augie

I am custom designing brackets for the GSA's to allow 2 tubes to be fitted in a very obvious place at the back of the bike - using one as a tooltube and the 2nd one as a Medical Kit. In fact - we've managed to get a few novel ways and brackets to mount to various bikes.

As I'm certain there are a lot of GSA'ers on the thread... I'll post some piccies as soon as they are done. :thumb

Bem,
If you have any tubes left, could you please let me know the cost of 1 tube +P&P to Norfolk.
Cheers,
gnikwp
