Top Box / Back rest

Anyone know what I can expect to pay for an Ali top box & fittings for an Adv. I just checked one out at the Scottish Show & I think if I remove the grab rail I may be able to fit a back rest so my missis can travel in little more comfort.? Unfortunately no one on the BUM stand could give me an idea of price .

The rubber backrest pad alone (BMW original) is 40 quid !!! I know because I enquired about one yesterday.....needless to say I didn't buy it

I've had a pair of lowered pegs made with extra width for the pillion which bolt onto the existing fittings alongside the ali pannier frames and today I purchased a gel cushion which covers the rear part of the seat and extends the rear seat area by
4 inches.

The hinged carrier for the Ali top box looks like it could be adapted into a backrest.

I already tried fitting a top box from an 1150 RT with a back rest but it looked terrible and you needed a ladder in order to get into & out of the seat.
