l've recently upgraded from an 06 GS with vario bags to the '22 GS w/the BMW Aluminum cases. I'm pleased as can be, but my wife is not nearly as comfortable as the top of the back rest with the aluminum case, measured from the rear seat, is about 5cm LOWER than the top of the back rest on the vario case. She says it does not provide the support she got used to on the 06.
Happy wife = Happy life, so I'd like to rig something that would satisfy her.
Anyone know whether or not there is a top case rack that would mount to the '22 GS in place of the current top box rack and that I could then mount my '06 GS top case (which I still have) on? That seems to be the least expensive solution, if possible.
Open to suggestions...and no, getting a new wife is, at this point, not an option!
