Top Box Backrest

Does anyone know where I can locate a top bx backrest for a 1200GS?

I assumed there would be loads of cheapo stick-on jobbies if I browsed E-Bay, or some dedicated BMW item for about 100 times the cost.

Assuming you have a Vario topbox just go with the BMW backrest ............. I fitted one to mine and I think it cost about £30

I'm pretty sure that these can be bought from your Bmw dealer....and not too expensive as I remember...I'll try and find it in the accessory list.

Mine was from my local dealer - about 40 odd quid IIRC...

Got the small one on a Vario box....... if a pillion uses it as a rest, then all it seems to do, is act as a pressure point on the lower spine with resultant sciatica or backache... pretty useless IMO.....

I took the upper one off my Vario box, as the Mrs said it was uncomfy.

+1 ...if the top box sat dead vertical or slightly backwards it would be fine.... but it leans forward ..so in a word the top one is useless.... took mine off also to appease the missus.
