Top Box Dilemma....

As someone said above somewhere about backpacks, you either love em or hate em.

If, god forbid, i came off my bike i wouldn't like anything attached to my back apart from the armour in my jacket as i rolled down the road.

Each to their own :)

As previously mentioned I was reffering at a backpack strapped on the rear seat, although during winter I do often carry it on my back instead of strapping it.

All the other boxes feel :barf:barf on the ADV

For handling, it cannot make sense to carry much weight in a top box, so why go so big? I do understand the helmet issue though.

Thankfully the GS doesn't seem too badly affected by a large topbox, especially with a pillion onboard, unlike bikes with sporty riding positions e.g. my old VFR800.

It's a better alternative than expanding the panniers for a weeks tour as that really slows the bike down due to them being as aerodynamic as a brick :(

Hi Claw,

I really appreciate the photos you have put on the site and love the way you have kitted out your bike. I was just wondering where you got the seat and side panels from? Are they from Touratech or Wunderlich? I would love to get them for my GSA.

Many thanks

Malcolm
