Top Box Hinge

Hi,
I have a 1150GS with a 1200GS Aluminium Top Box on it.
Last night I managed to bust one of the hinges.
Looking inside the top box the top of the hinge is held on by two nuts, on the outside I can prise off a cover on the bottom of the hinge that showed to hex bolt.
I haven't tried to remove the hinge, but my dealer says that I have to buy a new base or top complete with which every part of the hinge is bust, and put the pin in that joins the two parts.
Has anyone every just changed the hinge?

Hopefully you are not having a go at me.
I posted this because I thought I had a 1200 top box. It turned out that its for 1150. I posted the question on the 1150 site and got the answer I wanted.
