top box lock removal

could anyone tell me how the lock comes our the holder so i can recode the key

The lock itself has a spring loaded leaf that locks it in place... if you put the key in the lock, and turn it, you should see it... you need something long and very thin to pop down the side, then turn the key so the leaf is pushed down by whatever you're using, then pull out the lock using the key

You need the original key - If you have it then it is straight forward to push the pin that holds the lock in place.

I have tried over and again without the original key and had to resort to ringing the original owner to borrow his key for 5 mins
