Hi,

Can anyone give me some ideas on stopping my vario top box on my F700 vibrating so much, is driving me nuts! also I want to mount a camera on the back but the footage is useless with that much shaking going on.

Check the underneath of the box to make sure all the rubber feet of the top box are intact.

You could use some duct tape to pack small gaps perhaps?

Interesting to see if makes a difference, what the fix is? the top box is out on a limb out there and designed for a quick on and off fitment. off road its an amplified shake. I took my f650twin up the stella alpina that was the first time I had seen the tea shaken out of tea bags :eek . (tea bags where in my vario top box)

If your not able to reduce the shake, maybe try a different location for your rear facing camera a lot use the panniers when on tour or pannier frames when not :nenau

Thanks, I've bought a handlebar mount to try on the pannier rails as I don't use the panniers unless I'm touring. The angles I've tried so far show a quite a bit of the bike in shot, will have to work out how to angle better to reduce/elimiate that.

Good stuff, :thumby:

some like a part of the bike in shot for a Spielberg moment or an extension to your mount to eliminate it if you can not get the right angle :beerjug:
