Does anyone have any experience with the larger (58L) alloy top boxes that claim to fit two full face crash helmets? Is there one that fits the standard rack so I can interchange between the small and large one?

If I get one, and I cant interchange easily, I will most likely sell my standard Adventure top box and mount, is there a market for these used?

I found my aluminium Givi 58 litre caused a gentle weave at motorway speeds. It’s easy to overload them because they’re so big. The problem reduced slightly by reducing the weight but it never totally disappeared. I assume this is why BMW don’t offer a larger box themselves.
Not sure what you mean by ‘standard rack’ but I think you’ll find the Givi boxes are intended to fit on the GSA metal rack via an adaptor plate.

Holan boxes clip straight onto the GSA metal rack without an adaptor plate. I’m not sure if they do a 58 litre capacity box though.
The rack will fit the standard GS model . I sold mine easily enough.

I have the big Monokey Outback Trekker, it easily takes 2 F/F Helmets.
I only ever use it if I'm 2-Up and I get no Handling Issues at all.
My experience with big Top Boxes has been that Weave seems to appear if using them Solo.
I've found this to be the case with the K1600GTL and also the ST1300, but I've never ridden Solo with it on the GSA yet.
Good Box, but never leave it open and unattended, otherwise you run the risk of finding several families of Illegals have moved in!!

The BMW one uses a plate which bolts to the rack, the Monokey uses a different plate, If the Hollan box clips to the same plate that would be ideal as it would give the option to use either.

I don't know what a Hollan Box is but I've never seen any other Brand that fits the OEM Mount Plate, but they might be out there I guess.
The only 52lt+ ones I've ever seen have been Givi or Kappa, and they both come from the same Factory I think.

Well that scuppers my plan.... I have emailed them to see if the case fits the stock BMW adapter. Lets see what they say.

I have the Givi Trekker 52 litre, as has been mentioned it takes two full face helmets and I have no handling problems when fully loaded with wife and luggage.
