Just thought I'd pass on my thoughts after last weekend. The story goes like this:
Friend of mine is looking to buy either new/second-hand sports tourer machine. He's narrowed the choice down to a Blackbird, Sprint ST and a K1200s. Anyway we'd set aside last Fri/Sat for him to pop down to my part of the world and have a couple of test rides.
Having already tried a Blackbird he'd booked an almost new Sprint ST and a ride on a second-hand K1200s from Bahnstormer (My nearest BMW dealer here in Gosport). After a most enjoyabnle test-ride on the Sprint we headed off to Bahnstormer only arrive and be told that actually, unlike what they'd said on the phone they didn't have any K1200 models for him to try... Bear in mind he'd travelled from Bristol for this and had specially booked a ride on the phone the week before to stop this happening!
Anyway, a quick phone call to CW and he's got a ride arranged for the Sat lunchtime. When he arrives a suitable machine is ready and waiting for him. The sales team were really helpful and after a decent length test-ride he comes back in a far better frame of mind.
So, top marks to CW's for saving the day/weekend. Although he's still pondering the decision over I'm reckoning that CW's service may well have got us another BMW rider here.
