I emailed TOL about these...they stopped making them a while ago.

Shame, they looked pretty cool and industrial; presumably they offered good protection as well.

Never mind. Perhaps one will come up second hand.

I bought mine as a blemish model - had some scratches on it - from CalMoto. Got it about a year ago and at that time they had several blemish units in stock.

Might be worth calling or emailing them to see if they have any more.
I paid $60 for it.

Thanks Earache, just popped them an email.

How have you found yours to be?

Cheers

I have a set of PIAA 510's hanging off of mine. No noticeable vibration on the road. Other than that, it's not done much at all... which is good. I think.

I have on my bike, in fact it's been fitted to my 3 previous bikes.

I won't post a pic for fear of upsetting a few sensitive folk.

I've taken the 'wings' off mine and mount lights elsewhere but they're very sturdy and a good place to mount an on board camera. 'The best' headlight, oil cooler guard:thumb

Interest?

If I could get one, I can have it copied here in either steel or carbon fibre.

Well I am actually now sorted, having tracked one down :JB:roll:hogroast:101:hapybnce::wave:ymca2 :chickendance :guitarist :banana :banana

However there may be others who could use this...looks like a cracking protector but for me the bonus is the side light pods because as I mentioned in a previous post the Migsel bar doesnt half vibrate and move about.

Thanks for all the help on this! :thumb:thumb2:thumb

Cool - where did ya find one?

I was thinking that it'd be pretty easy to copy this design as it's very simple. Hate to blatantly rip of someone's design, but since they aren't being made any longer, I doubt that the original maker would mind.

Got mine from Calmoto in the end, really helpful chap named Shari, although he accomodated me as an exception so dont flood the poor chap with emails!

Looks like they arent being made any more so dont think there should be any issue copying the design in some way, although best to check if the design is registered as protected.

Update

Just had the following reply from Calmoto so if anyone wants one get in quickly with an email to them...

"No problem, I would like to move these out of here.
The guard does come with the arms for mounting lamps,
Shari"

How much were they?

:beerjug:

$60 for the part and $60 postage so just over £70 to you or I...these are scratched ones though which is why they are cheap as chips, but after I've ridden about a bit and swatted some flies and deflected some stones it wont make much difference.

Cheers, I did email their parts dept this morning, no reply yet.

If possible, can you PM me the guys email address if it's different to the parts one.
