Top Of The Line Headlamp/Oil Cooler 'Darth Vader' Protector

Mine just arrived in the post. Not sure who else has received theirs but mine is pretty mint. Couldn't find any of these "scratches".......

Maybe they touched them up? Delighted I have to say

Not happy about being stiffed for £21 by The Post Office tho - VAT (grudgingly paid) and a 'clearance fee' :mad:

However. Rust? What rust? Scratches? What scratches? It looks just about brand new! :clap

mine arrived [after i paid the import VAT ] :D
A couple of minor marks,but nothing serious......
complete with instructions and parts needed.
Very well made..

Just got mine, exactly one month after despatch!! Luckily the postage cost was the same ($60) & Shari was kind enough to put the total value at $50 so it bypassed customs!!

mine had $50 value,but got customs charges :tears :tears :D
 
I think you need standard GS mounts... I have a mra vario on my 1150gsa so hada to use the standard mounts... works a treat... as long as you affix from the furthest point back working towards the front two bolts!

£16.20 per side from Motorworks, although I'd give them a call and see if they had a pair of used ones - they're just about invisible when fitted.

EDIT - just noticed you're from the colonies - do you have a BMW specialist breaker down there?

Looking good. Mine turned up and like you chaps not a sign of any scratches...typical brilliant US customer service.

Havent got round to getting mine fitted but will buy those 1150GS parts for mine as well.

Due to my hectic work schedule my mechanic was going to fit this but stumbled into issues getting it aligned with the fittings.

I did supply the r1150 non adventure parts needed, but he said he couldnt get the holes to line up properly.

:confused:
 
Affix from back working towards the front of the bike. If he does this it will fit on no probs. Perhaps your mechanic is a numpty!
