Maybe he was, but the decision came all the way from the top.


KTM made a pretty sensible decision on the day. The risks were too great for them and chances are they wouldn't have made as good a job in promoting a successful trip anyway.

At the time the KTM man came to see them, they were hardly impressive with their planning and organisation etc. :rolleyes:

They fecked up. And left it to "boring" BMW to pick up the baton .

Look at BMW's lack of success in last years dakar - but did it hurt their sales or reputation ?
 
Perhaps where you are in Europe, Harley Davidons hold their value a bit more.
Here in Canada and North America there are a LOT of them for sale used for pretty cheap. THere are a lot of those who bought them, rode them to Starbucks a few times... and now they don't use it.

I wonder how imports into Europe work?

No, you keep them over there :)
