'Grip Puppies' make a long run much more comfy. They absorb a lots of the vibrations which can be a bit of a pain after a while.

Cheers guys, some great ideas.
Unfortunately the morning after posting the original question, some women from "Ididntseeyou.com" decided to do a U-turn from stationary traffic in front of me when filtering.......Ouch!
Hopefully its not written off but there was a fair bit of damage to the front end (not to mention me!).
A bit off topic but am I right in my assumtion that she performed an illegal road maneovre?

No, you are not. It IS legal to perform a 'U' turn from stationary traffic in the UK.

Were you on your OWN side of the road, or over the white lines? If you were over the white lines, were they solid (in which case you were in the wrong) or broken (it IS legal to overtake and cross broken lines) and at what speed were you travelling at?

No need to answer any of these questions; get a good MOTORCYCLE solicitor to look at all aspects of your case.
