Topbox fitment Gen1 to Gen2

Can anyone tell me if the BMW topbox for the Gen1 fits the Gen2 please?
The basic appearance is the same but I don’t know if the bike rack or box is different between Gen1 and Gen2.

They don't,l have a gen 2 and I'm sure on the xr forum there was a way of making it fit with a bit of modification to a hump in the gen 2 bmw top box plate.
