I fiited a Givi one a few weeks back - two tap washers under each of the front mounting points - clearance problem solved. Would need to check model number - came from Germany .... about £50 ish delivered

I bought a Givi top box rack for my XR to clip my 52L top box on but it has a sticker stating max weight 6KG. I can only guess this maximum weight includes the box so it's almost not worth having.

I think that's just there to cover their asses. My givi top box on my VTR had the same warning and trust me it had at least 3 times that amount in it on some occasions with absolutely zero problems.

I've done the same. Coming back from France I had 12 bottles of wine + much more in it without problem

Ooops, made a mess of above post so try again. Six bottles in each pannier when I too returned from France couple of weeks ago.
