Topcase back rest

Hi erveryone.
I just bought a R1100GS, which included the standard topbox. I know ots not a beaty, and I promise to unmount it frequently. ;-))

My question is, is it possible to fit a backrest on the box? It seems that its not an spare part option?

I have seen a backrest on a R1150RT, but does it fit? It's very pricey though...

Any other suggestions? I have searched this forum, but maybe not enough?

backrest

hepco and becker do a backrest for their topboxes..... might fit...

or stahkoffer do one with elastic to fit if I remember correctly....

I bet both are cheaper options than the BMW one.....

I bought a generic one off ebay for about a fiver (try doing a search for backrest pad) and fitted it to the topbox with some dual lock tape and a couple of bolts - has lasted fine for several years.
