My big old 1/2" Land Rover torque wrench isn't acurate enough for delicate aluminum bolts at 9nm on the GS.
Can anyone suggest something a little smaller in the 3/8" range, that is precise enough at low torque settings?

Cheers

are extremely good quality wrenches but can be expensive

if not
bizzarly my old halfords once gets used everyday and is never that far out when it get recalibrated , its lasted very well indeed and quite cheap

Gedore tools

Strongly recommend Gedore sockets, spanners, drives and wrenches...Made in Germany..quality gear and not to expensive... They also made a cheaper range branded as Corolus whichi salso good.

First had a imperial set given to me by my dad in the 80s. He had them for at least 20 years. they had no burring or stress scars on the inside...

I recently bought a 5-50Nm wrench ona 3/8 drive spefically for my last K and it is now being used on the 1150 GSA..

Search for gedore. the wrench is by Dremotec part number 4549-05. its about £75 and worth every penny and a pleasure to use...consider how many times youl use it,,,

I also bought a 70-200Nm wrench for the bigger jobs. I bought a Teng wrench who make quite reasonable stuff .

"use the right tool for the right job" :rob

Good luck Send me a pm for more info..:thumb2

£50 from Halfords in the end, lifetime warranty and pretty good quality:cool:

I agree....Halfords professional range is also quite good...however their wrenches are not calibrated before leaving the factory....not accurate...;)
