Torx Bolt Size?

Hi Guys,

Just removing the right hand side rear foot rest hanger and i do not have a torx key/bit large enough for the mounts... ( Fitting H&B Pannier rails)... off to town at lunch time to get the right key/bit.... any one on here know the exact size?... looks like an M5 bolt to me but fear that Torx sizing ( Tnn) is different...

Fillister head M8x16

looks like this is the one.... ( Well this is off R1100 Microfiche)

is "Fillister" the same as "Torx??".......

so much to learn....... thanks in anticipation

As far as I know, there are no torx screws on the outside of 1100 engine (except S model, it's newer); the only torx screws are inside, on the rocker.

Ive just gone out and checked and mine have been replaced by stainless allen bolts, but the largest of the Torx 'allen keys' in the toolkit should be the one...

And thats a T45

spent an hour going through my toollboxes last night.... did'nt think about looking in the Bikes tool kit........

Thanks Bryn, just been and checked... it is a T45 and is now disassembled!!!

I did'nt have one in the bike toolkit after all, but when i looked again i found i have a torx driver set all along... cold must have been getting to me last night.. selected T45 and viola!
