torx key has snapped off in engine bolt - help!

That should teach you not to use cheap tools. Glad you got it out by the way.

I bought a Snap On square shaft straight blade screwdriver in 1975. Working on an old Beetle in 1981 I put a spanner on the shaft to get more leverage and the screwdriver blade broke at the tip. I reground it and finished the job.

About 3 years ago I mentioned this to a SnapOn agent who immediately said, "Give it to me and I'll replace it". Nearly 30 years old and you still get a replacement for failure. Now that's what I call a warranty:thumb
 
Me and the drain plug bolt? Now that was a laugh - first time draining a bike of oil and quite the gush of oil if you don't know what to expect! All done now though!
