Toshiba Display settings

I've just found a fairly old Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop running XP. The WiFi bit wouldnt work so i chucked it in the cupboard a couple of years ago. I now need a lappy for surfing only and managed to get it working with a WiFi dongle. The problem I have is that before I stored it i think i reloaded everything to default. When i scroll pages down or up the whole page seems to jump as apposed to a smooth scroll, my guess is something to do with it loading up with default drivers for the display!
Anyone any idea how i find out what drivers i need?
Or do you think it could be something else?
