That road scares the b'Jesus out of me! Too many fresh-air corners and just enough use by other traffic that you can't be sure that there's nothing around the next corner.

This is Geoff & Jarv doing a drop off system possibly on the way to the lake.

Sunny lazy Spainish trails

This year most participants in the Tossers in Tejeda enjoyed the riding which was a lot less arduous than previous years, due to changes in access to the national park we spent the week riding trails that were kinder to the rider. Most days we rode trails that were wide and open with only a few hidden surprises. One particular day we rode a up a wide dry riverbed for about 8 miles before taking one of the forks in the riverbed that would eventually lead us on to a lake where we followed the path around the shoreline for about an hour, the days riding was perhaps 80 -90 miles and not one gate to open or close along the route and sunshine all the way :)
The vid below is of Mr Tickle who joins about 1 min in on his brand new 450 six days ( local opinion was that a fuel injection enduro bike was over complicated) but from the video you can see it runs nice:D
This is the 2nd section of the river bed where we take the right fork but in the opening frames you can see how wide the first section of riverbed is, the group travelled this route at varying speeds with plenty of breaks and everyone felt exhilarated by the journey:bounce1

As sergeuk suggests, this year, because we couldn't get access the the Sierra de Tejeda park, many of the real hard-core technical trails were not available so the trip became slightly easier as a result. That said, I really don't think that detracted from the overall enjoyment, particularly when we ride with views like this:

I'll almost certainly run it again next October, so watch out for a post around Christmas.

It seems that the Spanish local who was trying to drive his car down a horse-width Competa street in October has now had his last drink.

I gather that after a recent wild night he vanished off the edge of a fresh-air bend!

I struggle to be sympathetic having seen him drive blind drunk. Better he killed himself than a small child running around the streets.

Yes, I agree.

I've rarely been minded to physically remove someone's car keys before, but he was the exception!

Without a pair of steps, I couldn't get an angle to show just how faaaar down it is!

Yesterday I met Marie. We chatted mostly about Disappearing Dave. He still hasn't turned up!
