Tossers-in-the-Tejeda VIII - a Spanish trail riding tour - 2nd - 6th Oct 2015

OK, so these are the transfer plans:

  • finn will be hiring his own car
  • karlp has had to pull out of the trip
  • I will also be hiring a car as I arrive a day before you guys
  • Reporter will be riding down from his France home
  • at106 will be stuck at the airport (unless he promises to buy me loads of beers - in which case I might collect him)

It's not too late if any other tosser wishes to sign up for this short trail-tour.

For anybody thinking about starting to trail ride, this will be the perfect trip. There are spaces still available.

Bikes and gear are all provided as is a British professional guide - just get yourself to southern Spain and bring some drinking tokens with you.

This trip is a 3-day tour around the beautiful Andalucian countryside and we'll be staying in a different hotel each evening. Your bags will be taken care of in the support vehicle.

Don't miss this trip!

PM for further details.

I have one place available at £100 discount (and more at the standard price).

Who's in?

I have just seen this, it looks interesting for me if the space is still available?

Complications are I am in Germany and have a business appointment on finishing on Thursday 1st 17:00hrs

Options are Memingham to Malaga flight on 2nd - but cant return until 9th (maybe Trailblazers have options to fill this time), or ride down in 24 hours, ... Google maps says 21 hours non stop

First day's ride is Saturday. On the morning of your first day riding Graham will meet us at Tourist Information Office at Canillas de Albaida at 09.45, and we will take us to our base to receive the balance payment and do the necessary paperwork.

Remember to bring with you:
  • Driving licence and a photocopy.
  • Passport and 2 photocopies (one for us and one for the hotel)
  • EHIC Card & Photocopy (European Health Insurance card available from UK Post Offices).
  • Travel Insurance including off road riding
  • Camera

  • Personal medicines
  • Any favourite riding gear
  • Thick socks to wear with riding boots

I'm taking my own riding gear - I'd better get it packed!

Greg, my flight gets in at 0945 if you don't mind collecting me that would be most helpful...otherwise I'm finding my own way!!

OK - I'll post up on Thursday what type/colour of car I'm in and where to wait.

Collect up your gear from the baggage carousel and step outside the airport building. You'll see the taxi rank - walk past that in the same direction as the traffic and look for the courtesy bus stop. Get on the Niza Hire Car shuttle bus and it'll take a couple of hundred yards to their office/depot. If there is no Niza bus, just wait until it arrives - don't try to walk.

I'll collect you from the Niza office at about 10.30hrs. I'll be in a shit-coloured Seat Ibiza.

Greg

Good news - it's rained here. The trail to the Lost Village has several large lakes but no dust!
