Hi All,

Just bought a 05 1150 GSA and there is some damage to the paint on the rear wheel, I presume it was done whilst having a tyre change. Its only a couple of cm2 but it is a bit annoying. I have contacted BMW nut there is no touch up paint available for these purple painted wheels, has anybody previously sourced a touch up paint for the purple gs1150 wheels??

Thanks Burge.:nenau

Burge - good choice of bike, hope you're getting to enjoy it.

The wheel rims are anodised aluminium and as such you won't be able to "touch them up" with paint of any sort, without it looking a right mess.

Let the scuffs add character to the bike.

If you really can't live with them then get the wheel off the bike, seperate the hub from the rim and send the rim off to be re-anodised (the spokes can be the mother of all bas**rds to get out - which is why a pro wheel builder charges a lot for the strip down). You'll then need to get the whole wheel rebuilt.
