Tour X + Dark Visor + Pinlock

Just got myself a dark visor for my tour x (dark grey) and it looks extremely good. The helmet now looks ridiculous with the clear lense in. Got the pinlock ready visor from race visors and a Tour x specific pinlock of fleabay. Absolute perfect fit and totally fog free. Definitely the way to go.

If the pinlock part fogs it refuses to clear no matter how much you open the visor

I've been a big fan of pinlock on other helmets for a couple of years now, so I am not sure about any problems unique to the TourX.

However, the pins in the helmet are not straight, they are like a cam with an off-centre wedge. If you have these turned around wrong, you won't get a perfect seal on your insert.

If you turn the pins, they will force the silicone bead on the insert against the visor, you can check for a proper seal by looking how squished it is from the front.

If you get a proper seal, a pinlock insert will never fog up

I use a pinlock in my Arai Viper GT........ You're right, it is a nightmare!!!!!!!!

A full days riding in rain saw it allow moisture in and since it happened 12 months ago, it mists in cold or damp weather. Mind you, the Arai Viper GT is definitely the worst helmet I have had for misting with or without the pinlock!!!!
