Anyone got a bit damp today???

Haven't riddden in really wet weather with my new helmet (prior to day).

Used to ride with an Arai Quantum which was excellent in wet.

My Tour X3 today was awful!

Riding a 2008 GSA - any tips?

Visor partially open/closed, vents (which seem to make no difference)?

Any tips or pi** taking most welcome ....

P.S. Anyone else in south today getting a tad damp?????/??:Motomartin

get a pinlock fitted, got one in Tour X and Astro R, no problems

Does the Tour X3 not come with a pinlock  I have 2 and both did. No problems so far with misting while riding in wet weather. First pinlock I have owned and its great :thumb

As above mine came with pinlock which works very well

That said my tinted visor doesnt have it fitted and has been fine all spring/summer with a slight opening of the visor and chin vent open :nenau

Pinlock is your friend - definitely works - I have one on my clear and tinted visors and both are spot on and I've ridden in some real crappy weather :thumb2

Chaps,

Many thanks, hunted through the bottom of the helmet box and hidden away - pinlock!!!!

Fitted, not tried on bike test yet - but soggy helmet (from riding with visor open) tried on last night, given the heavy breathing test:augie and voila - looks to be superb!

Thanks for pointers.

P.S. seemed awkward to fit, disassemble helmet peak/visor but guess fit it and forget it.

YW,

I find those little pegs very weak on the pinlock attachment points - anyone else?

I always used a Fogcity in mine. :thumb2

EDIT - what I will add is my Tour-X always seemed to pick up a fine mist inside when I was in very heavy rain, and yesterday the rain was so heavy even my Chaser was getting a bit damp inside.

Pegs

The pegs/pins on the Pinlock visor system are cam shaped so you need to twist them to get the correct seal. Once this is done you dont need to touch them again.

Pinlock: yellow on a clear visor, and clear on a tinted visor ~ covers every opportunity, 32k miles in 23 months through last 2 winters, never a problem,
prb

Arai also do a breath deflector for this helmet

Got one,pig to fit (ended up having to super glue it in over the nose bridge) didn't care for pinlock, felt as if vision was slightley distorted especially in low sun.(no pleaseing some people)!!
