i need to get a new visor.

do i get a pinlock visor for my tour x?

if so what colour, clear or smoke

or do i get a normal visor

what are the benefits to having a pinlock?

where is the best place to get one from?

It's effectively a double glazing system, and helps stop the visor from misting up.

Haven't tried my Tour X without one, since it came with one in the box, but haven't had any misting problems with it fitted (once it was properly adjusted).

The Tour X3 helmet comes with pinlock and it makes a big difference. However because the TourX visor is so large and the pinlock is standard you'll still get misting around it which is weird. But it's still a good job - needs to be properly fitted otherwise you'll get water inside it and it's like riding through an aquarium....

ive been using my tourx3 with pinlock for the past 18 months and its brill,
they now do a tourx shaped insert ion different colourers which is much larger than the normal ones

ive got a clear visor with a clear insert and a yellow one for when its really shitty, also got a clear one on my tinted visor too

got mine from here

Pin lock in ok but can also mist if you get a gap in the seal which won't clear

My Tour X had it included but I wouldn't of bothered otherwise

Just fitted a pinlock anti-mist to my Tour-X.
Fantastic. Easy peasy to fit and works like a dream.

Best thing they've done for the Tour X, before they were p*** poor in the rain and cold, now brill.

As posted..........Racevisors.co.uk for the best service and prices:thumb

They are good but if you go off-road in dusty conditions, you will find that dust collects on them and has to be wiped off which - even done with care and a spray of water - leaves them less than perfectly clear as the fine scratches build up.
