Hi, I have got gs adv on order but didn't get on great with the more road inspired anakee's on the test ride, ive got tourances on my 1150 adv that ive got used to both on road and off even at the nurburgring, see you tube for the lap:thumb2, has anyone tried a similar type tyre on the new gs I spoke to the dealer but have been told bmw aren't offering it with a tyre choice like they did with the oil cooled 1200"s,

cheers rob

No choice at the start it seems. 80% come with the michelins - mine lasted 5000 miles and now swapped to Tourance Nexts - instantly quieter - no problems on grip yet.
I got stuck in mud and sand with the Anakees - accepted only a 10% off road tyre but I was 100% off road at the time ! 👍

Tourance next are no good , my reason , the fact that I had a new set fitted before I went on a European trip , 800 miles in , front tyre defective , another tyre fitted , same. So 3000 miles of worry and wobbles , never again . BMW still have not given me a reason for the problem , but did give me a free set of tyres ,of my choice.
Conti trial attacks ...... Perfect .... Then stated that maybe there was a problem but could not agree what it was

The dealer I spoke to had concerns with regards to the warranty on the bike being affected if I changed the tyres for something bmw didnt approve of and that I'd have to change them back to the anakee's when it came to sevice time.....? :blagblah

Vote with your feet tell him you will take your servicing elsewhere

I wasn't sure if new bikes had to go back to the dealer you bought it from for the first 3yrs servicing for any issues regarding the finance. ?

I found Anakee's are completely useless off road. Not sure how a tyre can be 10% something. Like having a mechanic who's 10% brain surgeon. It's marketing nonsense.

Rob - Tourance Next are fitted as standard to 20% of new bikes

Funny how they seem or "choose" to know very little about any options availabe unless its todo with the nav or £1300 panniers or colour!
