I was in Spain and Portugal this summer and the difference in fuel prices was huge, I could have filled up in Spain and toured Portugal without the need to fill up again.

Yes there is little economy to be had and in Andorra too but at what price for the convenience?

BTW there is a used one with some dings in Germany for the tidy sum of @€980.... sheesh!
IMHO X-tank gives a total of 19 litres so reasonable range in EU anyways.
For beyond, you could always have a 3, 6 or 20 litre Desert Fox fuel bag which weigh very little empty for when it becomes necessary to extend your range.

I was very lucky, I picked up this one local to me and less than half the price of that one you spotted.

I was looking for a GSA tank as I think that’s probably the sweet spot especially when the filler neck mod is done but they seem to be getting very expensive if you can find a good one and without damage and dings galore.
