Has anyone on the board tried the Touratech 30ml bar risers for the 12GS?

As I read it from the TT catalogue - the risers also bring the bars back towards the rider - this is necessary due to the position of the screen.
I am curious to know whether:
1. they make much difference (I am nearly 6' 2'' and find I have to stoop/bend the knees a lot when standing on the pegs
2. cable re-routing is required. I note from my search of the nippy norman bar riser thread that nn says re-routing is not necessary but most people who got them said that they re-routed anyway.

I am going on a 6 day offroad safari in 7 weeks (with 2000+ Kms of dirt) and am keen to get my bike set up right beforehand. Bar riser seem the most obvious thing to add

risers

I have just taken the Nippy Norman risers with setback off my bike. yes, they do give a tad more clearance to screen but i found on my '04 bike that the cables were very tight on full lock (even with all zip-ties free) and in fact it did not quite suit my riding position. However, what i had really bought them for was to hopefully give me a little more stand over hieght as they would push me more upright and lower in the seat.........but no difference.they may be for sale
