Plan to order some bits from Touratech..
The "Delivery Times" statement on their front page doesn't inspire confidence in the parts coming anytime soon.

Anyone had any recent experience, and am I looking at weeks or months for deliveries?

Take a look at the thread I started yesterday in TOYS AND EQUIP. Its titled TOURATECH oreders. :thumb

It's normally a combination of days weeks or months with no apparent rhyme or reason. Could be anything.

Some people have had stuff in a couple of days. I've used them three times and on each occasion they've either sent the wrong stuff or sent it late or both. The last time I used them I had to start small claims court proceedings before the (wrong) part was finally sent.

Luck of the draw. If it's urgent or important consider going to Germany to pick it up or find someone in Germany or Italy or France who can order the parts for you and send them on. The other countries won't sell to you direct but will send a part to someone living in that country.

Good luck!

(oh - and remember that people like Wunderlich and Nippy Normans stock some of the same items so you may be able to get what you want from them)

eh...Yeah.. feel like a tit..
Probably makes sence that the search function came up with nout when I spelt it Tuoratech

Saw your thread.. It's kinda putting me off ordering.. But I'm not sure if I have to order from the overstreatched UK dept, or from Germany as I'm in Ireland.

I placed an order with Touratech Germany 3 months ago.
I recieved a part issue 4 weeks ago, and have just recieved an E Mail from them today saying that the rest is now on the way.
To be honest I can't even remember what I am still waiting for :rob but hope it's not too expensive!
As has already been said, they should inform us if an item is in stock, and if not when it is due for despatch.

I met the Touratech team at their weekend a few months back, and at Garmisch last month. They were getting both barrels :mcgun off most people complaining about lack of stock availability, so they know what the customers think.
Shame that they have no real competition.

fill your payment detail in wrong (credit card #) when they phone you for the correct details for payment ask them when delivery will be, has worked for me on my last 2 orders

Kinda did this last night.
Ordered a few little parts. when putting in the credit card details they had a drop down menu for the expire date from 2001 to 2010..
Mine expires in 2011, so I just put in 2001..

System seems to have accepted my order, but maybe it doesn't validate the card there and then..

The only real concern I had was the postage. I ordered from the German "other EU country" section, so I'm guessing the parts will come from Deutchland.

I've no idea what to expect for postage, and really hope they don't part ship the stuff and leave me with 3 postage payments for a few quids worth of parts.
