Just got the following e-mail from TT:

We have been given an ETA of week 10 which is the first week of March. Hopefully they will start to come through then but this is not 100% guaranteed yet.

I suppose it's good to know that they're so concerned about quality control that it's taking so long........

:beerjug:

I ordered mine in October but, got fed up waiting last week and got the HB ones. They were very easy to fit, look great and seem to offer a good level of protection but, I would sooner have had the practicality of stainless steel. It's just seems daft to offer something for sale and not be able to supply them for six months!

I suggest you order the H & B bars.. very good and nice :)

I am led to believe Touratech commissioned a sub-contractor to supply bars to a certain spec......, but when they received the first batch they were pants, which is how we now have to crash without protected cylinder-heads.............or maybe not crash at all?

It's so unfair!

Funny, that's exactly the same excuse BMW gave about the camshafts on the new K12 sporty thing :D

Having had the TT bars on order from before i ordered the bike(September) and having been given to date 3, yes three different dates for production i wouldnt hold out much hope of getting the TT bars this side of summer, TT make good gear, albeit overpriced but by christ they have a lot to learn in the customer service department, they are without doubt IMHO the worst company i've dealt with when it comes to keeping the customer informed, if i thrived on a diet of bullshit i'd be 40 stone plus fed TT's interminable crap.

Maybe they used to work for BT? ;)

Raw unpainted stainless would look very sharp, until you drop it and scratch the guards.. on the other hand, the HB guards.. drop them a few times.. then.. buy a can of paint.. spray them, and they'll look as good as new... plus, they protect the entire bottom of the jugs...
