Touratech Foam Air Filter

Hi

I'm just putting together a spares kit for a few rides am planning this summer.

I was looking at getting the oem bmw part as a spare air filter, but have seen that Touratech do a washable foam filter.

Does any one have any experience with these in terms of use, cleaning and re-use?

Check this link: http://www.uniflow.com.au/. I'm using their filter with the pre-filter. The pre-filter stops most of the dirt. After 10000km the main filter was still clean. The filter is easy to clean with turpentine. Just squeeze out the stuff when clean and let airdry, then apply special foam filter oil, most bikeshops stock it for the motocross guys.

Yes I have them fitted the kit comes with a second pre filter so I always have a clean spare (It is very dusty here, I swapping it every couple of thousand kms). The set up works well and saves carrying a spare full filter.
