Are these any good or would the ones that you velcro on be better.

And are the Anti glare shield for the top of the lights any good.

Looking for christmas prezzies as people are asking what do I want for the bike

Need Radiator shield, Nose Beak and the above, recommendations would be more than welcome :thumb

I personally prefer the Velcro stick on (Ventura) behind a grill. As I think the Velcro looks awful I stick it on with transparent car tax disc holder sticky thingies. When I take it off to clean, I simply use more transparent stickies.

Rad shield = Reyno grills if they are available at the moment, but I believe Nippy Normans still has a stock.

Front Mudguard extender (ala GSA), genuine BM is only about £22, less that half the price of an after market item.

Hope this helps

Mike

cheers, already looked at the Reyno shields, and thanks for the heads up on the GSA.

Anymore recommendations would be great

I have that Touratech Guard,it works well but i think the glare sheild is needed as well.I also have the Touratech front muddie beak, again,it works well.I must admit to not researching alternatives, but am happy with what i have.

I've got one of those...

And IMHO you need the anti glare thing as well...full beam on causes lots of glare..
Also got the rad shield and the beak!!!....always something extra to buy to make it look a little more trick... :thumb

the mesh one projects tiger stripes onto the road. odd, as the 1150 version doesn't. better than £225 for a new headlight i guess.

must be something to do with focus :nenau

Another option for the light guard.

BMW has recently introduced its own light protector which fixes onto the surround for the headlight binnacle. Just bought one myself to fit next weekend.

As usual with BMW - not the cheapest way of doing it! £46.00

The effect is more proounced with a HID conversion to the headlight, but the HID more than makes up for the stripes,I have the Touratech mesh h/light grill and it already bares the scars of a couple of hard impacts

Silly, basic question I know but

What is a HID conversion, and how much does it cost?

BMW Headlight Protector

Andy B,

How did you get on with the BMW headlight protector? £46 sounds steep but the photo that I saw, suggests that the glare associated with the TT version will be non existant and worth the extra pennies???

What's the verdict?
