Anyone got any experience with these?

Mine reads out only half the speed it should in kmh. It's the only instrument on the bike so have to multiply everything by 2 then divide by 0.6 to get my speed!

Tried various remedies in manual but no luck - such as decreasing distance between sensor and magnet and re-checking calibration.

Have you set the right wheel circumference? (not diameter!)

On a 19" front wheel it's about 2018 mm if I remember correctly.

Oh and you can set it to mph too if you like.

Cheers,
Michel

Ah - Ha!

I'm sure the the setting is like 900 and something millimetres which I looked at and thought "that looks like the diameter". All the bicycle computers I've set up in the past.... and I forgot it's the circumference. What a tw*t!

How do you change it to miles - manual doesn't seem to say?

Do you know if it can be changed from the german to english although I assume it's a software thing and would need returning to TT.

Many thanks Michel, you're a star.

The English and German IMO's are different, you can't change the language.

Mine is an English one, so maybe yours can't be set to miles.

On mine it's in the settings sequence, press and hold E and then you get a series of screens. In one of those I can change from miles to km or vice versa.

If you've got problems / questions, go to the Touratech support forum.

Cheers,
Michel

You're right - mine can't be set to miles, or 12hr clock. You can get the software changed but I can understand it anyway and the German one has more functions too.

That forum is pretty helpful. Looks like they sorted your sensor problem very quickly.

Thanks for the help.

Has more funtions too? You know throught setup you can disable/enable display modes you don't want to see? Just like MiGSel said, press and hold the "E" key op the IMO in the basic "Speed and RPM" screen. Work your way through all option with the "E" key untill in the last screen you have the possibility to enable/disable different display modes.

Suc6!

Yes, the German version has a few extra features.

If I remember correctly it was:
* a temperature alarm that pops up if the engine temperature exceeds a set value
* a 0-100km/h timer

At least it was like that when I bought mine. Maybe they have updated the English firmware by now, I don't know.

But I preferred a unit that "talks" to me in English over those features :)

Cheers,
Michel

Aha, weer wat geleerd!

I have the German version and I like that temperature pop-up function. Kind of a set-and-forget ting. The 0 - 100 (adjustable speeds) function is utter useless. I like that German by the way, suits the bike. :D

Yeah I kinda like the German too......

Thanks Max, figured out all the enable/disable functions bit. It'll all keep me occupied when I head off to Nepal.
