Ok, half the stuff arrives after what seems like weeks and the instructions are all in German anyone know why they do that? Anyone know where I can get them in English? Also I've got the Namibia DVD which looks interesting especially in the Astrid department so am I going to have to dig out my old German O'grade text books and dictionary and have a quiet night in watching the DVD and working out what to do with my 'hard part' I'm sure I was told the DVD had English and Spanish and all that, scenery looks good and they don't half pack some expensive kit in those alukoffers!

There are some translations on the American Touratech site.

I recently fitted the TT steering stop 'hard part' and brake line thingy trying to translate from the German instructions. After I'd finished I noticed that the instructions were in English on the reverse

TT in English

You nearly had me there! No just a single sheet in badly photocopied German still it doesn't look too hard to fit this bit of kit but thenIv'e not started yet! Have you had any use for your hard part? That is,has anyone dropped their bike or trashed it offroad and said yep that seventy quid was really worth it.Mines just fell over a few times and hasn't suffered much but then you get to think maybe I need this, and that or even half the TT catalogue would be nice just in case like pumps and tyre levers and a load of stuff just in case! Happy riding!

translations here

There have been cases of broken steering stops and then subsequent worse damage!
But glueing a couple of bits of rubber on the telelever arm will do the same protection for less money.

Do a search on this site and on advrider - plenty of discussion.
