Help.... can anyone who has fitted a touratech perspex headlight cover please tell me how they got it on past the indicator stalks?

The instructions say loosen and draw out the stalks, only mine have to be turned through 180° to get it out of the metal fittings. With the bracket fitted, the stalk cannot be reinserted as the plastic lug fouls on the increased metal thickness.

Here's the stupid question, did everyone else come to the same conclusion, and cut off the plastic lug? The bike is an '05 model, if that matters?

At the moment my little bikes in bits, and I was kinda hoping to use it in the morning? :o

Keep the lug, but trim it a wee bit. Then "persuade" it into positon. Worked for me :thumb

It's fitted now, along with the injection moulded shroud that fits the top of the light unit :bounce1

PS, the guard come supplied with a piece of sticky backed plastic thats cut and shaped to fit on the outside of the lower portion of the windshield. This is presumably something to do with reflected light, which I shouldn't suffer from given the shroud.
