Does anyone have any experience of or seen the Touratech Plug and Travel soft bag system for the R1300GS? Seems quite new so possibly not. Not sure if the bags come with liners , perhaps someone knows here?

Thanks

Touratech Germany answered the questions, they have inner bags for the travel soft pannier, Item No. 01-050-0754-0 the same one as fer the hard pannier. Unfortunately access to the bag cannot be secured by any item they sell so it would have to be an aftermarket solution.

contact @Annette from RuggedRoads. They're an authorised dealer, and should be able to help with more information, and a sale if you're interested

Finally a luggage option that fits the expensive OEM racking... I bought a set of Bumot racks and soft bags, but to use need to remove the OEM racks, and fit there ones, adding about 6kg in the process, plus not as neat and discreet as the original...
I shall look into selling my Bumot and ordering these...

Thanks for sharing...

The only problem is there is no way to lock the bags to stop them from being opened by opportunist thief's. I wonder if a large pacsafe net would do the job.

I fancy getting these ,As i am not fond of hard paniers .

On the Touratech info page it does mention:
“A lockable set of clasps keeps your luggage secure from unauthorized access, providing extra safety even on long journeys.”

So perhaps there is something to secure them against unauthorised opening as well.

Ahh perhaps the locks are to secure to the bike… maybe not for the opening of the bags.. I may have been mistaken.

You can buy lockable steel core straps. What I use on my bumot bags.

Locking straps may work but not much good against a Stanley knife. So why lock them?
I think I will go down the PacSafe Exomesh route for soft bag security. Just stops the opportunist from nicking my wife's knickers which may be worth a fortune on ebay.

I thought some might be interested in these. Bought them from Rugged Roads and very pleased. Lock directly onto the bike in place of the varios. Much more spacious and a lot lighter. Had to attach the bag to the plates but was easy enough. Ordered some locking straps from Kreiga to stop the bag being opened by opportunist scum.
