Touratech Sports Seats

Has anyone fitted one of these to an 1150GS ?
Just thinking about buying one of the 'low seat' models and wonder if anyone has got any feedback.
I don't have a problem with comfort of the original BMW seat, but after several years of riding the 1100 and 1150 would prefer to get both feet more firmly down on the ground (I'm 5'9'' and though not a problem on flat surfaces, getting on/ off the bike on heavily cambered surfaces can sometimes be an issue - especially since straining my back a couple of years ago).
Also, does it affect the riding position much with the seat set lower?
Any help would be appreciated.

I cant comment on the lower versions re. ride position and suchlike - I would imagine you would feel like you were sitting 'in' the bike - rather than 'on' it.


I have the XXH version... the previous owner had it recovered - his comment on why? - the original material was absolutely impossible to clean.
When he had it recovered he had a layer of 'memory foam' added - he said the original seat was very hard. In the past I have had a Corbin seat and that was very hard too.. very comfortable once it was 'bedded in' mind...

One of the best things (as an aside) about these sport seats is you can also fit the touratech sidepanels... which really do add to and improve the looks of the bike... hiding wires and the brake fluid reservoir.
