Touratech Steering Damper - any advantage over standard fitted one

I've got a '14 plate LC and I'm interested if anyone has fitted the Touratech steering damper and whether they can report any differences over the stock item? I'm particularly interested in increased front end stability in strong winds. I appreciate that this will be largely subjective as very difficult to compare side by side in the same conditions. Many thanks.
