i've got quite a few bits ot TT stuff and i'm pretty happy with the quality. i've bought it all from here, ebay or the TT factory.

i've tried ordering from TTUK several times & without exception, they've not had items in stock & will not give accurate timescale for delivery.

what use is that?

i should have qualified my previous post with..

" TTUK don't deserve..etc.. "

my mistake, never mind , eh ?

get some proper metal mule panniers from Paul. Next day delivery for everyhting i've had from them. (2 sets now)

Well I've just ordered a top box from them and I'm told it'll be with me in 3 weeks.

OK so TTUK have been found more than wanting on far too many occasions for anyones liking - I'd like to add I have found the parent company more than a dissapointment, not just on-line but in person at their HQ and also at the Bikermeeting in Germany this year.

I got the impression that they are doing fine thanks and don't need the hassle of proper customer service and respect, it will cost them in the end I know it will.

Witness how new kids on the block are having success with similar product but this time WITH added customer services and a could give a shit attitude.

I'm afraid until they globally sort their shit out I'll let someone else take the pain of doing the ordering and buy secondhand or find an alternative, just as I have with several items recently.

I ordered a Garmin bracket and lead. Had to chase up why no delivery to be told one part was on backorder. It would have been nice to have been told. When bracket arrived - instructions only in German. Asked for guidance, and given wrong information. It is a requirement for instructions to be in a language commonly understood in the place of sale, so why TT do not offer 4 language instructions like other companies when their goods are sold worldwide is a mystery. Eventually sorted problem out by myself but not impressed.

You own a Gelände Strasse but can't speak German?

Tee hee

in defence of.........

Once again Touratech deliver. Called the freindly Neil last week, yes they had bendy gear lever. Then yes, they have the rack extension, yes they have the footpedal exxtension for my 1200GS in stock delivery next day. TT stock more and more and I have now had several otc deliveries from them.
Of course there is always NN and he always delivers too :D

In case any one is interested i've just today fitted the TT crash bars to my 1200 GS they fitted perfect took about 35mins start to finish also fitted the beak and headlight protector.Ok they took a while to arrive, but, I ordered them personally from Nick at an off road course and he told me that it would be a while for delivery i.e about a month that was going to be whilst i was in the alps thrashing up and down mountains i rang them and asked them not to send whilst i was away. When i got back i rang to say they could deliver asap and hey presto they arrived today and no nightmares fitting the stuff.Guess somethings work out ok other things dont lifes like that. :thumb

metal mule

I am on my 2nd set, the first went with my 100GS. they are really easy to take on and off, have never leaked a drop and make excellent seats. Paul at MM very helpful. I prefer the riveted construction as in the event of a spill no welds to break and they can be bashed out and repaired easily. Great well construted boxes with strong subframes.

I saw the MM panniers at last year's bike show and was very impressed. What are they like to 'live' with?

If anyones buying Metal Mule kit send me a pm :)

I have the metal mule kit too - really well made and look good.

The US TT site has pdf's in English for most of the products - can't understand why TT Germany can't print them out and include for orders to Ireland and the UK

I ordered mounts for Les's lights off TT and have lost track of how long it's taking.
Other parts have usually come in a week - but we go through TT Europe not UK.

Another thread resurrection!

I’m on the lookout for some new panniers as the OEM’s on my 1150GS are too small for my wife  There is a serious lack of choice for panniers here so I’m probably going to go for a set of 41/35ltr Zega's direct from TT Germany. I’ve emailed Caja Sahel and Verns for prices but I’m guessing their delivery costs will put them out of my price bracket. The TT’s will set me back €630 for the standard pannier kit including delivery. My other choices are Gobi/Trax/Givi/Krauser…TT’s seemed the best bet and will still be cheaper than a set of the stuff on the Turkish market, even if customs get their grubby mitts on them!

Anyway back on topic, there seems to be general agreement that TTUK has poor customer service/delivery. Can anyone confirm that this is the case with TT Germany, which is where I will be directly ordering my Zegas from. I’m not in a rush to get them…just don’t like waiting for months on end.

why not have a look at the set of vern world beaters in the for sale section, 10x better than TT

Thanks, seen those, somebodys got dibs on 'em. Might send a pm in case he doesn't buy, but the main issue is whether the seller is willing to post to Turkey.

made to order [very quickly] frames sold as well.

I like the look of those! To save me trawling through 25 pages, what sort of prices are we looking at for a set of panniers (80ish ltrs total) with racks?

Not in a suitable position to call at the moment (big boss hovering around!)

Thanks
