Touratech Tankbag for GSA

Just received my new Touratech tankbag 055-1060 for GSA .Before starting fitting and shortening straps etc has anyone any tips or advice to make this easier and kinder to my tanks nice shiny paintwork? Previously had a magnetic H-G bag with rain cover so tank is a wee bit scuffed through lots of use. Also I dont have an instruction sheet even a German one! Thanks Maur Sluker.

Its not got the side bags as I thought they would scuff the tank even more .The old scuffs clean out when I polish the tank thats the problem with black,this is a working bike so the odd stone ding or scuff on the paint doesnt matter, kind of like battle scars,its that fork bridge thing im not keen on!Just use plenty of polish maybe should have gone for silver!Just changed my TKCs for Tourances and now it looks like a lassies bike!

I´ve just got my VP45 delivered. I can´t figure out how the metal clips on the bottom of the sidebags are supposed to be fastened. Anyone got a clue.

God knows - I took them off. Either get a dog collar and cut it up, then use the plastic clip to join the straps together behind the front shock (fiddly to do & undo), or tie the straps around the crashbars (if you have them fitted), which is what I do...
