Chaps,

I ordered a couple of weeks ago and had delivered today a Touratech top box, fitting plate and lock set for my 1150GS. It looks like a nice piece of kit and so it should for the money. I head off to the garage to fit this to the bike and guess what? You lot (more experienced Tossers's than me) of course already know what's coming next dont you. The bloody fitting instructions are all in German :banghead: Furthermore there's a great big fluorescent warning label on the inside of the lid of the box and guess what? That's in German too. Fan bloody tastic.

These don't look that hard to fit but for over £250 you'd think they could stretch to an English version wouldn't you.

I've searched on the site but can't find anything on this so before before I either ring TT or get our German sales guy at work to translate them, has anyone here already done so?

Please help.

Yours flabbergasted,

I had the same problem with my rear shock protector. I called and emailed Touratech UK re the German instructions and didn't receive a reply.

If you can be bothered to type the German this will translate it for you http://world.altavista.com/

You are not the first..

Luckily the helpful chaps at Touratech USA have all kinds of instructions in English.

You will want this one for the "integral" locks

I couldn't find the one for the top box quickly but if you have the part number you can find it here

Hope it helps.

I had one a while ago and it isn't too hard. I think the warning sticker tells you not to put more than three grams in the top box or pour boiling oil on your children.

Just got my Touratech top box.. Same problem.. Just tried the translater for the first bit of the German instructions

:banghead:

the retaining plate will screw firmly with motorradhek bolts it mussen in addition bugel the small gepackbrucke to unscrew the two to screw (in driving direction in front) of bugel ubernommen. the rear with nuts/mothers to lie the assembly material.

Plan B then

The top case bracket fitting instructions for an Adventure are here
But if you have standard GS then they may not be of much help.

Might be better than nothing though

Thanks for that.. 1150 is the one, but touratech say they are similar instructions...

off to the garage then........
